East Arkansas Insurance Agency, Inc. has been serving the citizens of Northeast Arkansas since 1982. Since this time, the agency has gone through several changes, but none as impactful as the tornado of March 28, 2020. On this date, thankfully, the office was closed as a tornado ripped through Jonesboro taking East Arkansas Insurance and countless other businesses and homes with it. On March 29, 2020, we began the process of cleaning up the rubble and scouring through the remains of the office for cherished items, usable supplies, and customer items that were salvageable. Our employees, family members, friends and members of the community all came together to assist. It was such a blessing to see the kindness and compassion of people and for the next several weeks we worked to get things as close to normal as possible and set up in our temporary location. While deciding whether to rebuild or to move to another location, we found a building that suited our needs located at 906 S. Main St. and began the remodel process. This process was completed around July of 2020 and we began to move into our new location. We are committed to serving the community and surrounding areas with honesty and integrity.
